MAYOR / COUNCIL REPORTS:
Mayor comment regarding Council Member Allen Holmes:
The Town will be forever grateful to Mr. Allen Holmes for his time, work, wisdom, and friendship in serving on the Rockville Town Council for these past years. His contribution to our government endeavors was always clear and valuable and meaningful.
Allen’s experience and sense of wit and humor will be held as high standard for the Town
Government Participants. His patience in dialogue, concern for equity and heartfelt focus will be missed.
Mayor asks for 10 second moment of silence so that as a Governing body we can all remember Allen.
Town to send flowers.
COMMITTEE REPORTS:

- Code Enforcement: No one reporting
- DRB: No one reporting
- WILPC: Henry Holst – BZA met regarding Whistling Gator Island property. The owner proposed a road that would be on the OCRM Critical line. County denied the request
Old Business:
Adams Residence – Mr. Adams passed away and the property is in Probate. In few months, when allowed (possibly 2-3 months), Mrs. Adams plans to sell and asked that the Town not move forward with condemnation plans. Mrs. Adams and her attorney are in contact with the Mayor.
Mayor proposes an ordinance to allow the County to certify Rockville’s elections rather than the lengthy process of having Town residents handle it and having to hand deliver to the County. Clerk to run ad. Mayor moves to enact this ordinance. Frank Thornhill seconded. Unanimously approved.

New Business:
Voting Commission of Charleston County has provided Notice of an upcoming Election on November 2, 2021. Anyone interested in running must produce a Statement of Economics and a Statement of Candidacy which can be obtained from the Ethics Commission. Henry Holst to contact the Church to be sure the Election can be held there.
Website needs updating. Council members, branches of council duties and the newly opened store. Mayor to review with Clerk.
2021-2022 Budget in progress. Will be presented at next meeting.
