- WILPC: Henry Holst – Upgrades to Community Center to be completed in January – a new roof and interior renovations.
New Business:
Tree down in the Village – the Linton’s tree, blocking easement by the Synoskis. Issue is a private property matter. Whit Smith comments that he believes the debris has been cleared as the UPS truck was able to traverse the road.
County Election Invoice is due for their handling of the November Rockville Election. – $3070.95
Old Business:
SIYC road needs maintenance. CDH Tree service will address once it has dried out. Frank Thornhill mentions that the first section of South Rockland also needs attention.
Road aprons are completed. $7500 due to Charleston Green.
First Reading -Business License Standardization Act which updates the class schedule for business license fees. Town must enact to remain in compliance. The changes are made every 2 years. Council to have a special meeting for the second reading on Wednesday 27th 4:00 PM at Whit Smith’s house in order to pass the ordinance before the end of the year as required.
Henry Holst comments that Robert Siedel announced at the last Land Planning meeting that Wadmalaw Island has the cleanest roads in the State. Special thanks to the 145 people who volunteer their time to clean up!
